Slow cookers have come into their own in recent years and developing a knack for how to use them only comes, for most, with trial, error and time. I've had my slow cooker for upwards of two years now and as a family that regularly feeds six (plus friends and relatives) it has been a blessing and a learning curve rolled into one. To help you with your learning curve, I hope you enjoy the read as I share with you my top tips to help you use your slow cooker.

Tinned, frozen, juice not from concentrate and dried fruit and vegetables all contribute towards the 5 a day target. So when you go if you can't go full bore for dinner; enjoy a glass of wine and a little bite or desert at the end of your evening or on a Sunday afternoon. It's an experience you don't want to miss. And don't fear the Chateau is happy to have you, provided you don't set anything on fire and you are kind to Pierre. The cuisine is continental and you'll find appetizers hovering around $15, entrees are $25 and above. Wines start around $10 spaghetti bolognese bowls cocktails vary widely in price. If you are dining, best get a reservation.

Making pulled pork for barbecue sandwiches is not a complicated task. Anyone can do it with the proper equipment, the proper ingredients, and a little bit of barbecue pit-master know-how. First, the equipment.

As the glow of New Year's Eve festivities begin to dim and the reality of another year sets in, now is the ideal time to assess your health cajun chicken couscous lifestyle.

If you want to your taste buds to be able to enjoy such a meal then you do not have to worry about travelling far down south, you can actually make slow cooker whole chicken and brown rice right at the comforts of your very own kitchen. It may not be near perfection as the original, but with your constant practice in making the dish, it should be next to the best.

When chicken is about half-way done, grab a second skillet and combine heavy cream, 2 tbsp. butter, and remainder of seasonings over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

If you need to eat something sweet, then go for natural fruits and berries. Your taste buds will soon adjust, and after a while all these unnatural, sweetened foods will taste too sweet. Eliminating added sugar from you diet will certainly help to shift those excess pounds.
